To commemorate the 125th anniversary of Local Union 288’s (Waterloo, IA) brotherhood, a special collector coin is being offered for purchase. Featured on the coin is Buddy Holly, along with the names of rock 'n' roll musicians Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson, who tragically died in a place crash near Clear Lake, IA, on February 3, 1959. Each coin is numbered and will be issued randomly; there is not a choice of coin number.  The Anniversary Planning Committee thanks you for your support.
