THE RIGHTS OF EMPLOYEES
The rights guaranteed employees who are covered by the law are found in Section 7 of the Act. This section states:
Employees shall have the right to self-organization, to form, join, or assist labor organizations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining or other mutual aid or protection

20.8 Pubic Employee Rights
Public employees shall have the right to:
- Organize, or form, join, or assist any employee organization.
- Negotiate collectively through representatives of their own choosing.
- Engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining or other mutual aid or protection insofar as any such activity is not prohibited by this chapter or any other law of the state.
- Refuse to join or participate in the activities of the employee organizations, including the payment of any dues, fees or assessments or fees of any type.
